Plan B Medical Provider in Elkins and Mill Creek, WV
Valley Health Care offers Plan B OneStep at our pharmacy and facilities in both Mill Creek and Elkins, WV. This single pill contains the same safe, effective hormone (levonorgestrel) that has been used by millions of women on a daily basis for routine birth control for decades. Although the dosage is higher, it works in the same way. Plan B helps prevent an egg from being released from an ovary, thereby significantly helping to minimize the likelihood of pregnancy when taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. The sooner, the better.
Please note that while highly effective, Plan B is not as effective as taking the recommended daily dose of the birth control pill and therefore should not be relied upon as a regular birth control method. Plan B will not be effective if you are already pregnant and has no termination effect on existing pregnancies. Our office will provide you with more information about available birth control choices and options, upon request.
