We offer comprehensive medical for the students and staff we care for. Many of the services that we offer are provided right in your child’s school, during the school day. In-school medical services include:

Valley Health Care is pleased to provide in-school medical and behavioral healthcare for students attending public elementary, middle, and high schools in Randolph County, WV. We provide professionally licensed, experienced healthcare providers, counselors, psychologists, and case managers to each of our school-based health centers.

Our goal is to ensure that youth are able to access a wide variety of necessary medical care and treatments for acute and chronic illnesses, including mental and behavioral health concerns. Our medical and mental healthcare professionals work closely with your child’s primary care physician to help provide the best ongoing care for your child in the most convenient and efficient manner.

Some of the services that we offer require specialized equipment and materials that are not currently available at all of our school-based health centers. We hope to be able to add these services in the future.

If your child requires eye-related medical attention, x-rays (Mill Creek location), or other services, we are able to provide a prompt referral and/or coordination of affordable medical services that are also located close to home. Our coordinated care program provides and manages referrals, as needed.

If you do not have access to a printer or would like to request assistance with completing your application, please visit your child’s school or Valley Health Care, Inc. in Mill Creek. Our friendly staff members are happy to assist our families with obtaining exceptional health care for their children!

All Children Are Eligible for Our Money-Saving Health Care Program!

Valley Health Care, Inc. School-Based Health Center at Jennings Randolph Elementary School and Elkins Mountain School

All children in our service area are eligible to participate in our school-based healthcare programs and receive services at a fair price, regardless of insurance status. Valley Health Care accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicaid, Medicare, and WV CHIP. The actual cost that you will pay for services provided will depend upon your specific insurance coverage. If you do not have insurance, please contact us. We will assist you with applying for the most appropriate insurance or assistance program to meet your needs and your budget. Our Sliding Fee Discount Program provides medical care to uninsured and underinsured residents in Randolph County at 20-50% of the actual cost, depending on income level and family size.

Our staff members can also assist you with enrolling in an insurance plan through the federal HealthCare Marketplace. We are pleased to be able to offer our money-saving programs at schools throughout Elkins and Mill Creek, WV.
