Behavioral Health Program

Serving Mill Creek and Elkins, West Virginia

Valley Health Care continues to expand and implement programs to meet the needs of the community. Our Behavioral Health Department is one of the programs that is currently making changes to better serve the area in and around Elkins and Mill Creek, WV, with quality mental health services.

Integrated Medical and Behavioral Health Care in Rural WV

Behavioral Health Care is often difficult to find in rural areas. One of the solutions to this problem is the development of integrated care. Integrated care is the coordination of medical care and behavioral health care. Integrating mental health and primary care services produces more positive outcomes and offers the most effective approach to caring for people with multiple healthcare needs. When your medical provider works in conjunction with your behavioral health provider, success rates are greatly improved.
